Harvesting

Harvesting strawberries can be physically hard work. We have different types of strawberry beds, some strawberries are grown on table top constructions which means fruit is at waist height reducing the need to bend. We also have strawberry beds which are raised slightly off the ground.

Tunnel work

Erecting tunnels and venting tunnels on hot days .

Husbandry work

Weeding, removing flowers, pulling up polythene and many other jobs.

Planting

New plants are planted from March to July.

Producing new plants for the next season

Vacancies can sometimes exist for experienced staff, overseeing harvesting and husbandry jobs.
